I am looking for a .22lr suppressor host for one of my baby cans. I gave my gf a M&P 22 and she loves it, i want something different and quiet.

I was thinking about a 22/45, with a rail and a mini red dot. About my only other option is the Walther P22.

How is the accuracy of the 22/45? How quiet are they? Any issues to watch out for?

Thanks.

What can? I have multiple cans/hosts and different cans sound different on different hosts. My quietest(to my ear) combination is the Walther PPK/S .22 and AAC Element 2.

Got one, sounded great with aluminum baffles then sent it back for stainless baffle upgrade, became my worst .22 can. I'd stick with the Ruger threaded MKIIIs. Good luck.

22/45TB is good stuff.

A lot more robust than the sr22 or M&P22.

I like the one with iron sights better than railz

They shoot fine. Ruger  has been making them for 50 years+

It's just a MkIII with a polymer lower with a 1911 grip angle.

I agree.

I have also used my Sparrow mounted on a Ruger MkII w/ TAC-SOL upper and a Sig Mosquito both without issue but the Ruger SR22 just feels better as a complete package.

Were you able to use your iwi UZI .22 as a suppressor host? If so, how did you modify the gun/barrel to mount the suppressor?

The only two real options, and even they require a bit of work to be perfect...

I heard bad things about those like the barrel loosening up.  I would love one but I'm on the fence about it.

My 22/45 Lite was tight as hell out of the box.  The vast majority of them are, but there can be the occasional loose casting for a lower.  Mine took a jeweler's hammer to knock loose and get back on.

If anything does act up, Ruger has a fantastic warranty btw.

Which model do you have. The cobalt model isn't bad at all.
