Savage 64 FV-SR is any good?
I REALLY like the Mark II FV-SR a lot--I think with the accutrigger it's a great value. It's light, has the rail to mount a scope, threaded bull-barrel, (though I do wish the stock was a bit higher quality--but a cheek-pad-pouch wrapped over a piece of foam-tubing atop the stock works fine).
I really like the idea of a semi-auto .22LR (to be suppressed), but the 10/22s are pricey--especially when you get into a threaded bull-barrel versions with mods like a bolt-lock, etc.
Does anyone know if the 64 FV-SR is any good? Reliable? Is the action quiet?
(I know you can put in a rubber-buffer in the 10/22 to quiet the action.)
They go for $199 or less...but the Mk II FV-SR bolt-action is only like $30 more, has the accu-trigger, and is SUPER quiet.
