[ARCHIVED THREAD] - fie italian .22 blank tear gas pistol

we found this little pistol when cleaning out my dads house after he passed. do you guys know anything about them? are they legal to own? it was in a box with 20rnds and a bottle of eye drops. it feeds front to back with a 7 shot clip. im still trying to find info of it but could use some help

It is most likely a starter pistol.
Used for athletic events and dog training.

no its a tear gas pistol. i found some info online but not 100% sere its legal to own. the small sealed cases which each contain ten .22 (looks similad to .22 short blanks) is clearly marked tear gas as is the pistol

They were always in the old magazines when I was a kid.

Here's the pen version being fired.

I would think a blast of Szgeded hot paprika in the face might be more affective.
