I just installed my bushing from Sam Lam and I have to say fit and function are perfect and I am one happy camper. If you've got a 22/45 or other mkIII and your mags don't drop free be sure to drop him a line.

Very satisfied with this fix

You swap out the existing bushing and the magazine disconnector and its spring with the Sam Lam bushing shown here:

It is a great mod. Simple to drop in and mags drop free like they should have in the first place.

What's the point of removing the disconnector?

I have one in my 22/45 TB and another guy's in a 22/45 Lite.

They are really great.

To the above poster, removing the disconnector:

1 - allows magazines to drop free
2 - makes insertion of new magazines easier and gives a more positive sensation when fully seated
3 - makes reassembly much easier
4 - improves trigger pull
5 - you can drop the hammer with no mag in the gun (like when you put it away after shooting)

That is not the Sam Lam bushing as mentioned by the OP. It may function the same but Bam's Is NOT the same bushing as Sam's bushing.
I have no experience with Bam 's but I have 3 of Sam's installed and could not be more pleased. He will even custom make one to your specs if so desired. JMHO and YMMV

Okay, so how do I go about ordering one? Might as well get one of each and go with whichever is better.

Like I said, I don't know that one is any better than the other, it's just my own experience with SAM LAM happens to be very positive..
The only thing about Sam Lam is that he is in Canada and doesn't accept PayPal. Takes a bit longer to get your bushing, 7-10 days.

I have both, there's really no difference. One comes in 3 days the other takes a few more days after sending CASH to Canada.

I just used washers to do mine. I suppose the bushing is nice, but im an instant-gratification kind of guy. Quicker just to run to lowes and buy a dollars worth of small washers.

Hey guys. Seeing this is the topic of discussion... I just wanted to say there's a 3rd option on the hammer bushing for the magazine disconnect for Mark III (22/45). TANDEMKROSS sells the TK Bushing on Amazon and on the TANDEMKROSSwebsite. The part is machined to exactly the right tolerances, made in the USA and shipped with a tracking number to ensure delivery.
