If they added a rail to the bottom and cut the barrel down to 4 or 4.5" it would be a no brainer as finding a Pac-Lite seems to be impossible
these days. |

I have a VQ LLV upper on one of my MkIIs and a Pac Lite fluted upper on another. They are both very good uppers. The VQ upper is more of a target upper. The Pac Lite is accurate but is more designed to make carry more comfortable. It is lighter and shorter. My VQ upper is 6" and almost as heavy as the 5.5" bull barrel that the MkII came with. The Pac Lite is a lot lighter. |

I'll try to take some more pics tomorrow, I specifically took that one for this thread. The Fastfire isn't even attached, I'm a little pissed cause I want to attach the optic mount to the rear dovetailed sight base, but the Ruger MKIII Burris base doesn't work for the LLV upper. It looks a little odd to me with the dovetail cut and an optic in front of it, oh-effin-well. I'm sure it's gonna shoot pretty awesome, I just want it to look as pretty as it shoots.
ETA: Check this place out. Never ordered anything from them, but they were a hell of a lot cheaper than ordering from Volquartsen. Btw, I ordered the LLV upper from Volquartsen in May and received it a couple of weeks ago. |
