Just saw a Dan Wesson ad that said there are no MIM parts in their pistols. Is this 100% true?

According to some folks that work for DW, it's true. They use a few cast parts, but no mim.

IIRC back in the day they used Ed Brown parts. It should be all in house now.

I believe the Valor line is the only one that has no cast parts. All other models use a few cast parts but I don't believe any use MIM.

The Silverback is made to the same standards as the Valor. No cast parts.

I would rather have MIM over cast in most cases.   MIM is dimensionally more consistent and less prone to voids and other material problems cast parts have.

They either use cast or MIM.  Nobody is making every part out of billet except possibly Infinity.

Valor line and all the alloy frame models have no mim or cast parts.. Silver back has none of either also. The rest have no mim but have 1 or 2 cast parts I believe the magazine catch is the cast part..

Roberts defense uses no cast and no mim. Same goes for a handful of other high end manufacturers (nighthawk etc)
Also I believe dan wessons are still considered a production gun. Why not spend a little bit more and get a hand fit gun? Les Baer or Roberts defense off the top of my head.
But on the other hand I do agree dan wessons are a very good gun. But if your spending $1,500 your not too far away from a Baer utc or a the  Roberts  defense I was looking at.

Nighthawk and Wilson use 100% forged or billet parts no cast or min at all across the entire line.

Then that's a very recent change.   Both were using cast parts up until a couple years ago.   I personally feel it's overkill to do non-stressed parts like grip safeties from billet, but if people think they want it, I guess they probably need to offer it.

I am of a mind with Ken on this one.

Grip safeties cut from billet seem like massive overkill, and an extremely expensive proposition.  Especially those stupid humped beavertails that are all the rage these days.

I will take the overkill.... rather have the best part available then one that's good enough..

The mag release on my Dan Wesson Specialist is cast, but that appears to be it.

Comparing it to my Nighthawk, the Nighthawk is cosmetically everything I ever wanted in a 1911 but the Specialist has been more reliable, more accurate and easier to shoot well.

Heck, I even had the trigger in the nighthawk worked on locally and although it's better than it was, it still doesn't compare to the factory trigger on the DW.

YMMV
