It would have been helpful if he would have demonstrated the problem he was having with the Colt part.

From what I got out of it, he was claiming that the half moon clip at the end of the spring pack (the piece that rides up against the barrel link) was flimsy and making it hard to reassemble.

Me, I've never had any issue with it (although I agree Colt could have improved that design - I think I read that they licensed that spring pack design from someone else, Seecamp maybe?).

I would be concerned with the engineering specs and tolerances of those springs being the same from Kimber to Colt - are they?
