I just bought a new Springfield Armory Range Officer 9MM Compact.  I am getting 2-3 failures to fire with very light primer strikes that are concerning me because I want this to be my new EDC Weapon.  Should I replace the firing pin spring? I have fired around 600 rounds to date and this problem has surfaced in the last 100rds.

I clean the FP Channel after every range trip. It has the Factory spring in it. Should I put a lighter one in?

The way Springfield sets up the springs in their ILS 1911s is fucky.

I would ditch the ILS parts, ditch the titanium firing pin, install a steel firing pin and proper recoil / mainspring weights (say 20# recoil  19# mainspring).
