Thinking about some Double Diamond Wood Grips to fit my Springfield Armory M1911A1 Standard (Parkerized).

Brownell's has a good selection.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you, gentlemen.

Hogue's DD's are great, and they're the best bang for your dollar.

Cylinder & Slide makes a fabulous DD set, and priced as such.

I purchase the D/D set from "Sarco" because they are the only unfinished ones I've found. Fit perfectly, VERY sharp diamonds.

To finish them pretty, I've used Cherry stain.
Alternately, for the "WW2 M-1911"-look", dunked them in used diesel engine drain-oil...the hotter the better, fresh outa' the pan...Makes them dark, nasty and smell bad too...

I would go with Altamont or Harretts as well...both make great grips for a good price...

I had a set of Herretts HB-1 Double Diamond (Slim) in Cocobolo Wood, they feel great
and look rally good...around $38 retail.

Good luck.

For a basic set of plain walnut DD, I like these Colt grips in got from ebay:

I have always been happy with the Houge's. Good "bang for the buck" ratio.
