Does anyone know who makes the PSA 1911?

Thinking about buying one but don't know who makes the frames and the slides, build quality and how they stack up to a Colt 1991, 1911 (70 or 80 series) or a Springfield.

Any information would be appreciated. I've heard the frames are cast Korean forgings but haven't seen any data to back this up.

Slide serrations look like Citadel. And it's either cast OR forged, two different ways of manufacturing. Either way, a bit much money for a "foreign" made gun.

Go look at a Metro Arms American Classic II.  With the exception of the decoration inside the hammer and the frame itself, the slide and the small parts are a spot on match.  Heck, they even mark the slide the same way on the back and include the same magazine.  Why buy a $799 PSA when the Metro Arms can be had for under $500?
