Made a similar post in October 2014 when I purchased my Nighthawk Talon, and now I've added another 1911 to the collection.

Introducing my Springfield MC Operator

And after it's first 100 rounds:

I'm in CA, those unfamiliar, we need to wait 10 days after buying a gun before we are allowed to take it home. As such, it's only been 6 days for me so I haven't been able to bail her out. My LGS did however grant me visitation rights so I took advantage. 50 rounds of WWB, 50 rounds of Federal Aluminum, straight out of the box with factory lube. No issues at all. Prior to handling and shooting the gun, I didn't think I'd like the Pachmayr grips. Aesthetically I'm not crazy about them, I'd rather have G10 style grips and front strap checkering. However after actually shooting the gun, they grew on me fast. Plenty of grip and they're easy on the hands.

Can't wait to bring it home, give it a good cleaning/lube and dirty her up once again.

You'll enjoy that.  My favorite of all my 1911s.

I really like mine but have thought about replacing it since I'm a "Colt guy" and now they have the rail gun and CQBP tempting me in other directions for a railed 5"

Happy early birthday!

Thanks guys. The gun was $1100. Put another 200 Federal Champoion Aluminum through it today and no issues at all. Just need more mags and ammo now.

Damn fine pistol.  I am seriously thinking that one of those or a TRP with a couple of 10 round PowerMags needs to be the nightstand gun around the house.
