[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Offered a 1911 as Trade - Need some help

I was offered a Kimber Ultra Carry II as a trade for my Sig P290RS. I loathe the 290RS and after doing some quick research the Kimber seems to be a decent gun. If nothing else the Kimber is worth more than the Sig should i look into trading/selling the Kimber away at some point.

I know Kimber can be a bit polarizing as some love em and others hate em.

Thoughts on the Ultra Carry II .45? Does this seem like a reasonable trade?
Lastly - anything specific things I should pay attention to when expecting the gun?

Even up trade? In a New York minute. If the Kimber is problematic most 1911's can be made to work.

thanks for the info - I did scoop the pistol up. Seems to be in good shape. Took it down and she was clean and oiled - owner kept it in good shape.

You did pretty good on that deal.

It doesn't look used.

TW25b or FP-10 is good lube for the rails.
