I have two already, the first of the "Pro labeled" guns that were made available to unwashed civilians, and a Railed Pro that I jumped the line on because a guy at my LGS canceled his order--I also had SACS change that out to a short pad trigger.

I like the guns. They're probably the best 1911s for matches and carry and they're boringly reliable. They're not cheap, but they hold their value and I'm not a huge fan of fancy 1911s and prefer a more traditional/muted look.

I once again got the opportunity to take over someone's order since they're divorcing and want to back out on their deposit and apparently I'm on the short list to call for unwanted 1911s

Ideas? I wouldn't cry to have another Pro in the stable, but was wondering if I should think of spending my money elsewhere.

Variety is the spice of life.

I can appreciate that you admire quality, so see what Wilson or Les Baer can do for you.  A large collection of SA Pros simply makes you a brand loyalist.  That doesn't sound like your goal.

Since you're asking for opinions, I probably wouldn't do another Pro If I had a couple already. I'd want to explore other 1911 options. I'd like to get my hands on a new Rock River and see what that's about.

This is my competition gun. The other is a Wilson X-Tac.

Pros are hard to find, I'm sure you can get anything you want easily, just my humble opinion

Beautiful pistol. I have a TRP and considering getting a railed TRP, but that one is above my pay grade.

As good as it is I'd buy more Guncrafter No Names before getting another Pro.

Crappy old cell pic, I've since traded off the EB and the CCO.

EB EE, 3 Guncrafter No Names, and the Pro.

It is done.

I have assumed the order and am now 10 months out.

Well, I came in to post a "variety is the spice of life" response, but I see you've made your play.

I'll just say that this was a wonderful problem / conundrum for you to have.

Certainly can't go wrong there...

Approximately 10 months ago. I'm just going with my friend being quoted 18 to 20 months.

Probably going to email Springfield Armory about it tomorrow.

Curious about what they say. I'm expecting 30+ months.

Damn you! I just put myself on the list for a Pro lightrail. So the possible 2 year wait begins.
