After waiting approximately 4 months for my dealer to get this bad boy in, its finally in my hands.

Gotta do something about those grips though.....don't like them....VZ will be getting some of my money soon.

Nice looking pistol.

I believe that is the "Long Beach" Operator, correct?

Congrats.  Mind me asking what you paid for it?

They seem like a good value, but I'm a little disappointed that they seem to be going for $200+ more than an MC Operator.

Yes.

OP. Looks good, I keep trying to pull the trigger on one, but money is tight and I'm trying to remain responsible.

It is sad that SA still refuses to blend the extractor with the rear of the slide.

So Tactical.

No TACTICAL billboard on the frame

Much want.

...I gave away my TRP to my dad and this may be my next Springer.

I didn't notice that was the LB Operator.
I thought I was almost done but I guess I have to add another one to the list.

Price tag on the box was 1329.99.....However, I paid 12 something due to their LEO discount...Wasn't much off, but some.

Part # PX9105LLP  ....I believe its the same as the Long Beach, just a different name, supposedly it is a new model that was just released this year at shot show with the new MC operator.

I really like how it doesn't say "Tactical" ....I was going to get the railed TRP, but I didn't like the adjustable sight, the bull barrel or full length guide rod.... I found this and it was EXACTLY what I wanted in the TRP....Only thing I wish it had was front strap checkering.

If that is all that is stopping from being your perfect pistol, then that's not doing to bad.  SACS could fix that right up for you.

If you ever decide go to that route, I would take a hard look at getting the trigger guard undercut.  Granted it is a permanent modification, obviously, but try to handle a Colt XSE or 1991 Stainless (I don't believe the blued ones have this feature) Commander, as they have these cuts and should let you know if you like it.  It make a HUGE difference IMO.

thought those things were supposed to have the textured front strap? Are they only doing it on the green ones?

The new 2015 MC OP has a front strap treatment. The Loaded Black Op or Long Beach OP has a smooth front strap.

The older MC OP had wrap around grips with a smooth front strap.

Hopefully I can get a twin for my LW operator. I'm liking the black grips.

How is the fit and finish of these compared to the TRP? Ive handled a few operators and some had some sloppy trigger fit. Looking to drop some coin on a railed 1911 in the near future.

I picked up one of these yesterday. Seems to be the same quality as the MC Operator, falling one notch below the TRP. I really like it, and prefer the smooth front strap over the cheese grater front strap of the TRP.

Did you make it?

I got mine a  few years ago, before they were put in the catalogue. The "Loaded Black Operator" is  a production line version of the old "Long Beach Operator." These used to be very uncommon to see.
