That looks much better than the original pics.

I'm a bit shocked at the turn around time on the work; that was really fast.

I'll still stand by my original opinion of not modding it, but that said, it turned out really nice. That's some nice clean work that will probably earn your gunsmith some new business.

Looks good, I would have cut the rear for a novak sight but that's just personal taste.

That was the original plan.  I decided to go with the Harrison Retro mainly as a cost saving measure since it did not require machining to install.  I do like the look of it however, something about the retro sight and the straight slide serrations, they seem to go together.

Yes, it was very fast considering the amount of work done and the quality of the work.  Took right around 7 weeks from the time I dropped it off.  Pretty darn good in the custom 1911 world.  I do think his wait times are steadily increasing however, so I picked a good time to do it.

Done!!  I haven't picked it up yet but here are the pics from my 'Smith.  I think it looks pretty darn good.  Opinions are welcome, good or bad.  I will note that the grips look kind of green in the pics, but they are black and gray.  Really glad he flush cut the slide stop.  I don't remember specifically requesting it but it's a nice touch.  Anyway, pics:

Very nice....

Huge improvement and very functional in upgrades.

My only change would be to checker or texture the front strap to assist with wet hands

I originally wanted to checker it 25 lpi, but unfortunately it just wasn't in the budget.  The VZ grips add some traction however, and I did ditch the original arched serrated MSH for a flat checkered one.
