I keep Winchester 230GR FMJ in my magazines at home 24/7.

Any concern with that or should I switch to a hollow point due to over-penetration?

I am old school. Like my Hydra-Shoks. Golden Dots and others are out there. But, they all fall with hard ball.  as far as over penetration you should go to an expanding style bullet. You need to shoot a number of different manufacturers' to ensure your pistol will feed them. Some will be more accurate then others in your gun.

Wilson has some great ammo, albeit, expensive.

Federal HST 230 grain +P is what you seek. look up the different tests the round was put through by the FBI. Really good stuff

No need for a +P round in a 230 GR.

Hydra-Shoks as well here.

I have a mag loaded with Eagle talon I'm saving those for a special day.

I would look For a modern day HP. It is no longer 1943.

Whatever Federal they sell at Wal Mart.

The blue and red-orange work fine.

If it looks like ball ammo, is 230gr, it's GTG.

Don't bother with +P or 185gr unless your gun is tuned for it.

HST's non +P 230 gr. make sure your gun will feed it.

Does your gun have a problem feeding hollow points?

No idea - never tried.  I think I'm just going to hold off until I try using my brothers hollow points.

Thanks everyone!
