They're Harrison design sights.  Tritium vials recessed in the rear sight so it appears plain black in daylight with a high vis white outline around the front.  Best sights I've ever owned.  Also shoots POA/POI with this setup.  Highly recommend.

Here's mine after a long day of fun. My only regret is that I couldn't afford two.

Gotta love the look of a 1911 with powder residue on the front. Sexy

Now the question is where do I find one for a decent price?

I gave my TRP to my old man (it was a super expensive Alchemy Custom).

If I were to buy another one, I'd get the bull barrel Operator.

Look at 10-8 Performance or Harrison

I keep going back and fourth between the Loaded model and the TRP for my first 1911. Is the TRP really worth the $5-600 premium over the loaded? I already know I'll end up swapping to a GI guide rod setup (unless bull barrel model of course).

Yes, I really believe that it is.  I've shot examples of both, and I went TRP.  I'm very happy that I did.  If you have the scratch, jump that way.

SA is a forged frame and slide

Colt is cast frame and slide

I can live with the tactical engraving to get a forged frame and slide.

What 1911's do you already have?

Another comparable option would be a Wiley Clapp Government, which is nice because it doesn't have the "TACTICAL" stuff all over it.

It's one of the best things midway sells IMHO.
Gun & mags all in one carrier and protected.

That's not true. Colt is forged and has less Mim  parts then most factory 1911's.

I don't know.  Get what you like.  Do research.  Glued ejector vs pinned?  MIM vs not MIM.  Lots of things to consider.

True. I think they'd be nice without the lettering, but they're such great guns I can look past it. Colion noir did a good video on his.

I don't understand the hate for the lettering on the trp. It's not like it's filled with gold. I guess I have bigger things to worry about.

FWIW, I love both of my trp pistols. They flat out shoot everything I've put through them. They're the best bang for your buck you can get. I did have one malfunction with my non railed trp, but I honestly believe it was my fault. I was taking a class and was nervously doing a reload a different way than I normally do and it failed to go into battery. I fixed it and kept shooting.

I don't think people hate them.  Personally I just think it is kind of corny.

I would rather have that than a "WARNING FIRES WITHOUT MAG" or whatever shit some mfr's put on their guns though.

That video almost made me want to buy another one....

To the OP, yes get one.  Then throw a Storm Lake threaded barrel in it and a Silencerco Octane 45 on the end....

Love mine.  Shoots like a laser and eats everything I put in it.
