i bought a 1911 frame and jig from tactical machining and this is how its fitting together. Opinions? (see Pics) to me it seem slightly crooked. If i take the two mag catch pins out from the jig i can make it work, and have the rails nice and even. now my concern are the two holes that need to be drilled hammer/sear pins. if i dis-align the frame to the jig will i dis-align the locations for the holes to be drilled.??? frames pretty nice from tactical machining and i haven't seen anyone complain about the jigs. i can work without the two alignment pins by removing them to work on the rails. just a little concerned about the the holes needing to be drilled and drilled where there suppose to be if i work in this manner.

never did anykind of 80% crap.

But when I design fixtures I make use of pins for locating the part (non firearms) so that it is easier to machine and set up.

Who says that the material left above has to be parallel to the fixture?
Is there enough material to cut the slide ways per the drawing?

I mic everything a few times and cut once.

Read through this thread. IIRC, someone else had that issue.
