I was once told, in passing conversation that, "They require schnellfeuer parts."  Is this accurate, beyond just the mag catch?  Is the SF "upper" different from a standard C96 in any way?

I have the navy arms version.  Yes, it uses 712 parts.  The 712 upper is different because the gun uses a removable mag there are no feed lips in the upper.  If I remember correctly there is also a clearance cut in the rear of the upper.

I can take some pics tomorrow if there's anything in particular you want to see between the parts of a 712 and a c96.

I had a Fed. Ord. frame offered to me for sale, but it looks like it'll be a bit of a challenge to ever complete.  I'm guessing the 712 parts kits are a bit pricey these days.
