I know very little about Lugers, but have always wanted one. So many variations that it makes my head spin. I found this on GB and it looks nice, no idea how high it may go. It is a DWM 1918 and has very detailed pictures and appears numbers matching.  Any thoughts on 1. If it is legit, 2. Fair price. Thanks

Not a luger expert, but matching serial numbers is always a good thing. That one has them.

IMHO that is not a great deal. The finish looks to be original, but turning brown. The strawing on the small parts is gone and the left grip panel has a chip out of it. They say the bore is dark and pitted which further reduces value. I would say this gun is worth no more than $800.

Honest gun. The days of 800 lugers matching number Lugers are past in my observations. I think it was well purchased at $1100.

Matching numbers.  No import mark.  Fair deal at $1100.  Russian captures (RC) are fetching $700+, and they are likely to be hot dipped in black with a mismatched toggle.
