First gun I ever bought. It's been used hard and taken care of though. After I got it I put at least somewhere in the neighborhood of 500-800 rounds a week for about a year and a half through it. Now a days I can barely afford to shoot it. I bought it used from a member on here and have never had a single malfunction. |

I'm pleasantly surprised the grip doesn't feel as thick as some say it is, although since this is my first 1911 maybe it helps that I don't have a single-stack to compare it to. |

These are the members of my Para Ordnance Family... don't mind the Taurus 24/7 OSS (its more like a step-child, it accepts P-14 mags)
Taurus 24/7 OSS 45acp, pair of Para SF-45 P-14's in covert black, Para SSP NiteTac SS, and a Para LTC alloy frame in covert black.
Close up of SSP NiteTac surrounded by Wilson 10rd mags.
Size comparison of SSP and LTC.
Taurus OSS with P-14 mag. |

My stock Warthog and re-finished .45 LTC. I bought the LTC used this past November. The factory coyote brown finish was badly worn so I sent it off to Robar for their NP3 Plus finish on the frame, slide, and internals with Roguard accents. I also had them stipple the front strap. The first pic shows what the LTC would have looked like when it was new.

my new baby, fresh from the FFL!
anyway i can get those scratches out of the slide? i think it's a gorgeous pistol but it will look more gorgeous if it's all polished/buffed up also my first 1911; the guys on that forum said it's 'not a good pistol and not a REAL 1911'
whatever, i got what i wanted. 14+1 > 7+1 IMO
also sorry for bad cellphone pics ![]() |

This winter's project; a new USPSA Limited Class gun for me.
Starting point; one of the Para display guns (P16-40) that a retailer ran on sale:
A new rear sight:
A new front sight:
New FCG, grip safety, ambi safety, mag catch and mag well:
A few hours later (well.... hours over the course of several days):
Today I did a non-slip treatment to the factory grips (Decon plastic epoxy and Black Beauty blasting media) and anti-skid tape on the front strap: ![]() |

My GI Expert, with some of my Chip McCormick Powermags. The Para mags have never jammed, but I like the CMC mags for carry. Personal preference.
And yes, I do carry this often.
FWIW, there would be a lot more posters if the tier-1 fanboys didn't take their butthurt out on Para owners. "My gun won't run." "That's okay it's a (insert $$$ brand here). Change out this, this, and this and it'll be fine." "WTF, my Para never does that. It's never been modded and runs fine." "Para, OMG what a POS!"
