Posted this in the 1911 forum, but this may be a better place.

I have a Para USA Expert, and a Para USA Elite Hunter LS. They both have those hideous sky scraper fiber optic front sights. They also both shoot low because of it. I have the rear sight on the LS run way up to get it to shoot close to POA, the Expert rear sight is fixed.

I'd like to replace those sights. According to an email from Para USA, the front sight cut is 0.250" width @ 20 degrees, approximately 0.075" deep.

Which cut is that? I'm trying to explore my options, but I'm not sure what they are since the cuts all seem to have names, but the dimensions of each cut don't seem to be listed anywhere I can easily find them.

The rear sight is supposedly 0.375" @ 30 degrees. Except for the GI Expert, which is supposed to be 0.344" @ 50 degrees.

Thanks.

My P14 has a fiber optic front sight and they are great and spot on . if you are low you need a shorter front sight , Dawson  has what you want .
