Hi Guys,

So I've found a Para Ordnance LDA 9mm hi cap that I'm very interested in. I've heard Para Ordnance makes good weapons, but I have no experience with them so I've got a few questions. First it's in very good shape minus a scratch on the slide just under the barrel and it comes with three 18 round factory mags and the hogue wrap around grips. They're asking $550 for it. Is this a pretty decent price? Also they state the trigger is a light DA. I've never shot a LDA so I'm unsure exactly what to expect. Would it be similar to a Glock or XD's DAO trigger? Last question, I've seen a few LDA's online that have an exposed hammer (like this guy) and I was curious if these hammers can be bought separately and installed to replace the original bobbed hammer easily? Any other info on these would be great. This is a fine looking weapon, down right sexy IMO, and fixes the issues I have with the 1911 and why I don't have one in my collection.

Thanks in advance.

Understand what a LDA is, and what it it is not.

The trigger system on the LDA is not a standard 1911 single action one, But instead the hammer is cocked in that sense from the action cycle, with a long light double action type trigger pull to have the hammer release.

So on that note, the entire fire control system is different than a 1911, and parts are not interchangeable. So before you buy one, shoot a LDA to see if the trigger pull is for you or not.
