A pic would help. If you have a double stack frame, its not unheard of to use them as builders for competition guns.

Probably a P12-45 frame. A full size double stack should hold 14 rounds. |

Para Ord first introduced the frame kit in 1989 which included the frame, slide stop, mag catch and trigger. The remaining parts are all 1911 standard. It wasn't until several years later complete pistols were introduced.
Frame kits have serial numbers beginning with F. |
