Hi,
If you could only buy one of the following, which would you buy and why?

Colt M1911A1
or
H&K USP Tactical

The magazine capacity is no big deal to me. I have to go buy my handgun to process my license paperwork, but I cannot shoot without a license duh! I shot a 1911 during my NRA course and I really liked it. Decided my first pistol is going to be a .45ACP and have narrowed down to these two models but am just seeking insight of owners of both.

1911. It is so customizable it's not even funny. The HK USP is nice, but IMO can't hold a candle to a 1911.
I own a Wilson CQB, and it's the nicest handgun I've ever laid eyes on.

1911, it is more customizable. I personally like the USP better, IMHO, but if it were only one gun to buy 1911 is it.

The 1911 can be customized out the yinyang and if you can only buy one gun, you could buy a .22lr upper for practice or plinking.

The USP TACTICAL looks sweet, but like the Babe of the Day girls I'll never have one and probably couldn't keep up with the cost of magazines, drinks, holsters, jewelry, you get the picture....
