1911 and a bonus 2011, because who doesn't like larger numbers?

Built by Remington-Rand in 1944 and entered the US Army.  She still serving today 70 yrs later in Afghanistan with a active SF Group.  Somewhere along the way she lost her top and got fitted with a dancing Pony (ie Colt slide).  I've carried the old slabsides since 83', to include tours in West Germany, Haiti, Iraq and now Astan.  Putting the fantastic plastic on back up duty to the old gal.  She got turned into the arms room yesterday by a former buddy of mine, different teams but same company during the First Gulf War, he stated she was very accurate.

I am very impressed that the teams still carry them as part of their MTOE.

Not part of the MTOE as only the M9 is on there.  These are TPE (theater guns) like the G19s.

Officer's ACP I bought in 1991. Customized for duty use, it was a BUG to my duty gun, a 70 series 1911. Also was my off duty carry for a number of years.

My duty gun, after it was retired and completely rebuilt, re-blued.

The well worn Sparks EX companion. In fact this was the very first EX Companion ever made for an Officers ACP.

Slight deviation:

This is a 1903 Colt .38 Auto rimless smokeless. Precursor to the 1911, and in my family for generations.

That Rampant Pony is more than a century old. Still shoots true too.

Gotta love the 1911, I'm a Glock guy who also happens to have a weakness for the 1911.

I just ordered up a STI Trojan in .40, I'll post pics when I get it!
