That isn't the 1911 i would personally pick.....
That said I would have bought it in a heartbeat if my unit had done that back in the day. You can always send it to a good smith and have a trigger job, sights etc done if you decide you want to and it would be a fine base pistol / awesome when done. |

Some general insight. This is a commemorative that you can use. The 1991 is their basic no frills model which is still much more better than most. Compared to your glock it is the mercedes to your chevy. It will be fine out of the box. Most people however don't shoot engraved commemoratives as it will have collector value in short order and will only go up in price as long as it's provenance is maintained.
This seems like a great chance to get the real thing at a great price. |

I'm betting you will like it. I think it was a good move. I would put up that meme of Indiana Jones with the old knight saying you have chosen wisely. But I guess you can get a smack from the mods for that now.
