For years I've read about their greatness, but I know squat about which model is which.  I want to try one - 9mm, full sized, range / target use.  Which one do I need if I want to add just one CZ to the arsenal for fun?

Oh wow....Hmmmmm.

I would probably have to go with one of the nice SP-01 Shadows.  Can compete with it, crazy accurate Range Gun, and could use it for home defense, and perhaps CCW with the right gear.

Although, just a normal full size is hard to beat!  I love my stainless one.  It can do all of the above just fine.

CZ TS Orange if you can find one or CZ accu shadow

Just bought my second one yesterday..... first one was a 75 BD.  My new one is a SP-01 Tactical I prefer a decocker.

Both are awesome she took the 75 as hers so I bought a SP01 for myself.  I am also a Glock guy as well and have always been a Glock fan but the CZ is awesome pistol and like cheating when you are shooting.

I only had 1 CZ pistol before my tragic boating accident and it was a two tone stainless 75B. I miss it terribly. It was a sweet shooter, accurate and felt like a .22lr due to its weight.

Probably the Tactical Sports.  You didn't mention price of course.  So next I'll recommend the Shadow 2 (when they become available) or the Tactical Sports Orange.

Alternatively you could get one of the nice full custom(ish) accu-shadow models from CZ Custom.  These will be hand fit together and shouldn't have that awful fitment of the two that I've had.

I think my P09 would be the last one I'd get rid of.   I like my SP01 Shadow but not everybody wants to drop $1100 and up on a handgun.

Because it's not SA only and has a firing pin block.

My wife has one, great gun, but if I could only have one it would be either a CZ 75 B  SA, or a 75 Tact Sport.

I think the standard 75 B is still the best bang for the buck though.

My next one, if I do decide to get another fire arm, will be the P 01.

Tactical Sport (better yet TS Orange) or a single action Accu Shadow.

Would probably lean toward the Accu Shadow as the TS frame is a bit of a fat bastard.

I did the SRS-2 kit on my 75 and plan to on my SP01.  Does the hammer, sear make a significant difference?  I know you can adjust the over travel or take up with but other than that ..... my 75 I cleaned up the machine marks on the sear and hammer and it came out really nice.  I am sure the more she shoots that pistol the more they will polish and wear in together making it even better.  Basically is the hammer and sear going to make a significant drastic difference?

The hammer sear kit reduces the hammer camming and IMO, makes for a cleaner crisper break.

The pull weights are also ~3.0 lbs with the sear/hammer kit so it's a significant reduction over the stock trigger pull.

She likes the trigger on my 75 so I will not be touching that one.  I might give this a go on my SP-01 just kind of wish I could try it out before I buy kind of thing.  I have no doubt it is probably amazing.

Have a 40-P. It's kind of a forgotten mongrel of a CZ, but it shoots straight and is ergonomically perfect. There's no reason to get another CZ for me.

I thought the CZ-75 Retro was pretty cool, just not enough to own it.

It would have to be my P07 DUTY.  Reliable, accurate, fits my hand.  It is my EDC.  Several times a day.

Just a range gun, or to keep by the bed?  A P09 works great.  That's what I use min 9MM P09 for.

I have other CZs, steel and aluminum frame, but none of them are as accurate as the P07 and P09.

I mean, I really like the way the P01, CZ Compact and CZ 85 feel in my hand, they just don't shoot the groups the P07 and P09 do and groups are important.  Small groups are more important than large groups, to me anyway.  If the reliability and fit my hands feel is there, then group size is next.

If I had to start selling them all, the P07 would be the keeper.

I have a 85B and a P09. Next is a P07 to replace my G19 as my CCW.

If I could only have one it would be the P09. In tell I get a P07.

I purchased a brand new CZ 75 back in the early 90's when they were first released here. It had an amazing DA trigger that the new CZ 75B pistols lack. I sold it a long time ago thinking I would get another one later. I did and it was the new CZ 75B and boy was I really disappointed in the heavier trigger. If I could I would get one of the original CZ 75 pistols before they screwed up the trigger pull. The only issue I had with the older CZ 75 pistols was the magazine was not drop free because of the leaf spring in the grip that rubbed against the back of the magazine. These new CZ 75B pistols eliminated that issue with the magazines not dropping free when you hit the magazine release. Other than that, it was one of the most accurate and reliable pistols that I have ever owned.

Only one.... Hmmm.

I would have answered an original short rail 75 up until I heard that they had cracking issues. I suppose now I would go for my refinished Pre B since I couldn't stand to have a CZ I couldn't shoot all that often.

I do kinda like the looks of these retro guns though.

Only one?  P-01 Omega.  Not a fan of the sight design (looks like they would catch on more stuff) and I prefer the rounded hammer of the standard 75s but it's a little smaller for better CCW, will take a light and comes with the threaded barrel for more pew, pew, pew and less bang, bang bang.

Hard to go wrong.  The price for them at CDI on Gunbroker is hard to beat
Around $300 delivered.  I got a couple and Duracoated them. Most are beat up outside but look like new inside. Pretty sure they spent their time riding in a holster most of their lives.

I love my CZ75B but sometimes wish I had gone for a decocker model. I pay attention to what I am doing when I manually decock but it would be nice to not have to "worry" about it.

If I could only choose one, it would be a 75B, 75BD, or SP01.
