What is the best "benchmark" to check a new pistols value? I've heard people say that Bud's is about the cheapest around, and I can't find anyone beating their price.
I was looking at an FNX9 in a LGS for $540, but Bud's is listed at $580, so I'm not sure if that's a great price, or if my google-fu sucks.

That's a pretty good price before tax. Here is one about the same price, but no tax if you are out of state:

I use Gunbroker, filter by price, new firearms, then scroll down past the blue line (featured auctions)

The lowest "buy it now" price is generally just a few bucks above wholesale

Gunbroker completed auctions is a pretty good barometer. You have to have an account with GB in order to see completed auctions.

As for the FNX that's a fairly average price. Better if it has tritium sights or a bunch of mags.

Bud's is a good barometer, but I like to check gunwatcher.com when comparing prices.

I'll second the Gunbroker method. Lowest Buy-it-Now or the average of no-reserve prices...

The number I have in their now is for a CZ P-01, And Buds is not always the cheapest by a long shot,but they may have what your looking for in stock when others don't.
