Well, I technically did give the Glock 19 that I kept in the truck to her for Christmas two and a half years ago, if I'm going to tell the entire truth...
I took her to the range over the past weekend and she shot 2 1/2 boxes of ammo through her pistol and shot it very well.
She decided that she want's her pistol back for daily carry duty.
I have a 2015 Ram 1500 truck, and God Bless the interior designers of these trucks, because they put a drawer in the center of the dash that is THE PERFECT SIZE for a G-19/23 pistol and a spare magazine !
I tried my Sig 226 and it's too big to fit, 1911 is a No Go as well...
So, now I have my Shield 9mm in a Stealthgear IWB holster for daily carry and a Glock 27 in the truck for the time being.
I don't like the idea of two different calibers and being limited by magazine capacity in both guns.

So, do I suck it up, use my GSSF purchase card and buy my own G-19 to replace what has been taken back from me or is there something else I should consider before I spend $ 450.00 with Sales Tax ?

Edited to correct 1/5 to 1/2 a box of ammo

G19.4 DO IT!  If you can fit a G17 do it instead of 19.

G34 MOS.  Might as well go all in - you've already got daily carry covered

The G-17/ 22 size is a no-go. I tried my G-22 when I first got the truck and it didn't fit.
The truck was designed around a Gen III Hemi Powerplant and a G-19...

The obvious answer is to get your own G 19.

This is the route I would suggest for a truck gun.  The S&W SD's are very good guns for the money

Exactly, and they are dimensionally identical to the G19/23

Or you could get a 9mm conversion barrel and 9mm mag for the 27.
I did and have no issues. Keep a G17 mag or two as extras.
You can even use a G23 9mm conversion barrel in the 27 if you want the extra barrel length.

One of the guys at work talked me out of the G-27 for a fair price this morning, so it looks like I'll be purchasing a blue label G-19 on Saturday.
I ordered a Ghost 3.5 Connector, a Glock extended slide release and a set of Trijcon HD night sights for the new girl from Brownells at lunch.
I'll have some fun the first part of next week putting all the new parts in.

Thanks for the input everyone !

There is a LEO distributor less than 45 minutes from home.

Saturday morning rolls around, I drop my oldest daughter off for tutoring and drive the 15 minutes to the Glock LEO distributor.
I'm there when they open and I'm the second person thru the door. The guy ahead of me is active USAF and he buys a Blue Label Glock 19...
They had plenty more in stock so mine was the serial number behind his, consecutive serial numbers. Not used to seeing that, thought that it was cool.
Filled out the paperwork, ran the CC and I'm a happy new owner !
Took it home, field stripped it, cleaned the bore and lubed it with Mil-Com TW25 on the slide rails with Slip 2000 EWL oil on the barrel outer diameter.
Today I have sights and an extended slide release coming from Brownells today, so I'll have a little bit of fun-smithing to do when I get home.

Next up will be a smooth faced trigger from a full sized Gen 4 and a "-" connector so that it matches all of my other Glocks.

This unless you have made the bond with the new one.  I think I would cry like a baby if I lost my G19 as it its my companion and friend.

I get to break in a new pistol. That's a GOLDEN Excuse ( Reason ) to go to the range and shoot four of five boxes of ammo thru her so that we can "get acquainted"...

Congrats on the new G19. Can you advise what parts are needed to put in a smooth faced trigger from a Gen4 17 in to a Gen4 19?

OP I now feel your pain I am getting my new CZ 75 taken away from me after I put a FO front sight and CGW trigger kit in it.  Looks like I am going to find me a SP-01 Tactical for myself.

Glock made it easy: Part # G3608 is the trigger and bar assembly from a Gen4 G17, G22, G31, G34, G35 and All G37

Brownells, MidwayUSA, Glockmeister, glockparts will all carry them. $13.00 to $ 15.00 + shipping
The real pisser is that a " - " connector costs $ 25.00 plus shipping

I am on my phone, so not in a position to easily look, but amazon carries a lot of Glock parts, so it helps with shipping, if you are a Prime member.

Even if you aren't their shipping is often faster and less costly.

Agreed on Amazon shipping especially if you're a Prime member
I received the rest of the parts and installed them a week ago. I picked up a couple of grip plugs as well ( one for my 20SF Gen 3 and one for the 19 Gen 4 w/ the grip adapter ) from Amazon.

I am really put off by Brownells using UPS Mail Innovation shipping services. It usually adds two to three shipping days over regular old ground UPS brown label shipping. To "Upgrade" to Brown label doubled the cost of shipping from $8.00 to $16.00. I wasn't in that big of a hurry so I went with cheap & crappy shipping. The parts made it but two days after the "Estimated Delivery Date" had passed.
The parts showed up in a padded envelope so there wasn't $8.00 worth of difference in the shipping costs to justify the doubling of the price.
