I just bought some UMC 50 rounds for 11.99.  They had it on sale for 10.99 but I missed it.  24 cents for the 11.99.  That's not too bad.  It's still way cheaper than 40.  Although I saw some Federal AE on sale for 14.99 / 50 for .40.  Which is about as cheap as I've seen anywhere.  At Gander Mountain no less......

.40 is still cheaper than .45 though.

And actually, now that you mention I think the WWB for 4.99 as 50 round boxes.  I'm pretty sure I remember 9.99 for the 100 rounders.  I don't know, it's all a blur.  It just used to be a lot cheaper.

There are TONS of Police Trade in Glock 22s are all over the market and dirt cheap ($300-$350 range)...

No WAY that I'd trade a nice M-9 for a Glock 22....

Now maybe for a mint Glock 19 with night sights...

Never.  In fact I just recently traded a G42 for a 92FS.

.40 Glocks are half the reason the caliber is so out of favor right now.  40 S&W out of polymer handguns generally suck, the recoil is just too snappy for most shooters given the weight of the gun.

I recently picked up a P226 in .40 and it so much a better shooter than the G23 and G27 I used to own.  One of the handguns I regret selling was a CZ40, the all steel construction made shooting the gun easy peasy.

Holy crap that's cheap.  Were you serious about trading one of your G19's for an M9/92?

I found out today the other guy that did the trade with him traded him an UNFIRED M9.  He did give 2-15 round mags and 2-25 round mags with it.   I forgot to add that part of the deal.  Not sure if that would change people's minds.

Lot of HiPower guys like the .40 HiPower too.  But I have a feeling I would've thought the G22 was too snappy.  I never fired it.  I was going to go over to his house and try it out first, but it never came to that.

Maybe there was gold in the barrel.  I don't know.  I'll have to ask him if there was something special about it.  He was fair with me when he sold my my G26.  At least I thought so.  400 bucks for a G26.  Two standard mags, one crappy 15 rounder.  Not overly abused.  Not mint, but seems to work.  Was that a bad deal?

Hell ya.. in a heart beat. I got my first Glock by selling off my 92FS . And never once regretted it. I only bought a Beretta as it was what Uncle Sugar was issuing me and I could practice with it. once I retired, the Beretta was gone. Big, heavy, DA/SA trigger pull, Safety on the rail, can't change the front sight easily.

Yes, it was a reliable gun and accurate, but so are all my other handguns... plus all the negatives mentioned above... I took me a few years to get a Glock, and I never looked bak.

Do it.

But not a G22... get a G17... that is what the Glock is all about.. 9mm.

Safety on the rail?????  That's a new one one my.  LOL.  I'm just giving you a hard time. I knew what you meant.  I finally am tired of that design feature too.  I'm sure some can run it fine.  I just don't want to any longer.

Rail... Duh.... Slide...

I use to think for years, What was all the fuss over the Glock, until I got a G17 and started to shoot it... I was amazed at how intuitive and simple it was... and how well I could shoot it with minimal effort.

I have a hard time liking any other handgun that makes me do anything more to get it in operation then draw, point and shoot.
