The VP9 knocked over the 1911 and released its magazine. I didn't notice until later. Why can't they all just get along?

It took this to realize how big the VP9 is. It's pretty much the same size as the P89, which is a big bitch. It does have much better contours and is quite a bit lighter, better looking, more refined, cleaner lines, not used in 90's gang movies, etc.

I'd say that High Power is about the trimmest of the lot, short of the Shield.

That High Power is the slimmest of the double stacks and 1911s. Nice collection. Which does your wife shoot the best?

I have serious itch to replace my HK 45C with a VP9.  They are about the same form factor but the 45C has been cleaved to my hip for 7 years...

The BHP is quite diminutive in that lot. The slide width is a little deceiving. It's actually the same width as the 1911's, but is slimmer at the front (it's a 40S&W). It's certainly the classiest of the bunch.

Her guns are the Shield, BHP, and P89. I've seen her do some amazing things with the P89, believe it or not. She's okay with the Shield and BHP. She's wanted a PPK/S forever, and has also been eyeballing the PPQ. I like them both, but not enough to get 'em. The BHP is the smoothest shooting 40 I've ever fired. I've been trying to get her to give it to me for years. The trigger kinda sucks but it shoots well.

I've been mulling over getting a striker fired gun for years. I've always liked H&K's but had no need for another double action and no desire for a DAO. The VP9 was an easy choice. Firing slow, it's nothing special, but at speed it's almost effortless to shoot well.

That's an excellent group of pistols.

They're still no match for your Model 27, though.
