Those that own one, any problems with accidental discharges/drops? I have been looking at these for a while and have heard some horror stories, especially with the 24/7 models. I have a model 85 Taurus and it runs like a champ. With the rebate right now, it looks like a good deal. I don't mean to hijack the thread, as I really want one of these before the deal is gone again. I missed out the last time my dealer had them for $200.00 out the door.

Sadly they were all snapped up within minutes of doors opening. The hunt continues, I can find them all day long in the $250-300 price range but I'm lookin for a deal and can wait.

Pick one up last year from Kentucky Gun Co. for $199.

Good gun, fits hand great, eats every round I feed it, about 1,000rd so far.

Taurus did something right with this gun, but I get the feeling that they'll never live down the reputation leading up to this particular model.

For the price, it's a great gun.

You guys are killing me. I may have to see if santa has any more of a budget left. My dealer has a couple and I am sure they are going to go quick. I gotta find a new hobby.

Kygunco had em listed for 185. Not sure if thats that "after rebate" price or straight up. But anyhow, ive heard nothing but good things from those that took a shot on the g2. Taurus has a spotty past no doubt. But so did Hyundai and now they are like the 3rd most popular automaker in the usa with very good reliability scores from car and driver. So.... things change is all. If your budget is 200 and its whats in your budget then so be it. If you can swing a 19 or xdm i think you should do that instead.

Had an XD, traded off.

Shoot my buddies 19 a lot, feel no need to add one to the collection.

G2 and some flavor CZ are happening near future.

No hate here, love the little fellers. Have both the 111 and 140, no problems at all with either of them, plan on buying another or two.  Even if you decide you don't like it, it's not hard selling a <$200. gun.

KYgun has them now for $239. before the rebate for the blued and 239 for the stainless... no rebate on the stainless.

The G2's are a whole different animal than the earlier versions, different triggers, different frames... I haven't heard or read of anyone having an issue with AD /Dropping discharge. I had one of the older versions, it was a good little gun. I did send it in for the recall and they sent me  a new G2 140. I also purchased a new PT111, both very nice guns.

bought 1 for the misses, she wanted a little more bullets in her cr than the 38spl snubnose. Allot of gun for the $$$. Only +/- 1000 rounds down the tube so far but it eats anything, keeps the lead on target & is actually pretty fun to shoot.
