All this talk about 9mm this, 9mm that I've been ignoring as a 40/45 kinda guy.
I've had this P229 for a couple of years, test fired it and put it in the safe.  Took it out today
and ran 150 rounds through it and now I'm thinking about an IWB holster for it. It has nite sights
and the E whatever that grip is called, and I shot a fist sized group with it at 15 yards.  What do you guys
recommend for an IWB holster, as I'm teetering on coming in out of the cold on 9mm.  I also have a Beretta 92
and a Sig mk 25 so I'm not that averse to 9, just chose in the past 40/45 for carry.

Lol, this is probably one of the funniest statements a gun owner can say.

What took so long?

What's this convert nonsense? It's just another choice.

This even though I carry Glock for work.

I like mine in a Galco Summer Special.

Yep. They're just as dead shot with a 9mm as they would be with a 10mm or a 12.7 mm          And a nine can be shot much faster and more accurately.

The hammer always catches my shirt I really like my P228 as well but Glock rides my hip because I like it just a little more.

OP welcome to the convert crew..... I have a few .357sigs riding safe queen duty now because I converted mostly because it was to expensive to shoot on a regular basis like I do with 9mm.  Just last year I changed over because I wanted to shoot what I carried more which I could not do with the .357 due to cost and ammo availability.

Nice Sig by the way with the E2 grips.

I've always owned 9mm but its never been my favorite round.  I had to carry 9mm for
a lot of years and saw it as semi marginal.  All these threads about it lately and the mass
improvements on the round have me rethinking it, and I had forgot how accurate and fast
that P229 is.  I'm gonna shop around for a holster for it.

FIFY

Not knocking the 9x19, but if I had to compare it to a wheelgun round it would be the .38 Special +p, not the .357 Magnum.

And ballistically all three from a pistol would be very similar if not much different at all.

I also was always a .45 guy, however the improvement in projectiles and round count won me over.  Plus I always wanted a Hi Power.

I still believe .45 has more knockdown power.

Was going to post this. I'm a big fan of MS. Good holsters, even if they are a touch expensive.

I sold mine because leather just does not draw and feel as good as hybrid or kydex.

That's fair. Holsters can be a very subjective thing. I also have several Raven Concealment phantoms and they've been outstanding as well.

Go ahead with 9mm OP. More .40 and .45acp for me to be had... As to the most comfortable holster I've ever used OP: It's the Comp-Tac "Minotaur" set up with about a 20* cant. I carry an M&P40c, M&P40(mid-size), and Springfield 1911 in my Minotaurs depending on my mood & weather. Even in football/basketball shorts sometimes I forget I'm carrying... HTH's...
