I have both the Glock 21 and the 30s.  Shooting the 21 is like a slow piston moving into the palm of my hand; the 30s while very manageable has more snap to it.  Would the Glock 30 feel more like the 21, or would the recoil difference between the 30 & the 30s be negligible?  Thanks.

I personally hated my 30.  It was way to THICK, and pretty much could only be fired with pinky extension which I absolutely hated.  It always pinched me.

i never handled the 30 but absolutely love my 30S, carry it as much or more often than my 26 and definitely more than my 21

The 30 does shoot a lot like the 21.  The 30s does not feel much different 30 but their is some.

OP, I have a G21, 30 and 30S.  The 21 is by far the softest shooting 45 that I own.  I have shot my G30 and 30S side-by-side, honestly I can't see that much diff between those two.

I went from a 30 to a 30SF and cannot feel a difference in recoil between them.

The 30 feels like a brick in my hand.  The 30s feels more like a 19.

Thanks guys the 30s ain't going anywhere, but it seems like the difference isn't worth bothering with the 30.

The 30s carries like a 19 imo....and is the reason I got mine.  Its about the largest pistol ill carry OWB concealed.  A regular 30 is too thick.  All that aside, i have a 21 and 41.....the 41 is tits and sits bedside now.

I have both a 30 and a 30S and to me there is not enough difference in recoil to matter.  I prefer the 30S for carry.

That seems to be the general consensus.  I'll save my money and just appreciate the 30s

I tried a 30s based on everyone's recommendations.  I normally CCW either a G23 or a 1911.

I don't care for the 30s.  Haven't tried to CCW it because I couldn't get past the shooting part.  It doesn't fit my hand as well as the 23 and I can't shoot it accurately.  Plus the follow up shots take longer due to the recoil.

YMMV.

Does anyone have the G30, G30SF and G30s to compare the size differences?

The 30S and 30SF have the same frame which has a slightly shorter trigger reach than the 30.  The 30 and 30SF have the same slide which is wider then the 30S.

I don't really notice the difference in trigger reach but the difference in slide width is significant to me.

I have a 30SF myself just not the other two.  A picture would be nice to tag to this thread was what I was getting at.  Just as a comparison so those who do not know have a visual I would but I lack two of them.

Currently have a 21SF and a 30S. Sold the 30.

Though the numbers don't look like much on paper, I found the G30S fit me quite well, especially after I smoothed out the finger grooves and under cut the trigger guard.

The G30S is a very under rated little powerhouse. I enjoy shooting mine, and it appears to be quite accurate, though the G21 is easier to shoot very tight groups.

I put smooth G21 triggers in my G30 & G30S.  Undercutting the trigger guard sounds nice.
