A colt Trooper MK III that my grandfather bought probably at a yard sale or gun show.

Great question for a thread OP.

I can only narrow it down to HK 45C,  Colt NMGC,  Colt Combat Commander and Beretta 92FS.

I have a 2 that I couldn't bring myself to get rid of unless I had absolutely no other options and hold sold off all of the others already.

1. Glock 23 that was my first handgun purchase after getting married.  I carried it everywhere I went for several years.  It was tough to save up $500 back then, and that gun means a lot to me even though I don't carry it anymore.
2. Delta Elite that was a college graduation gift from my dad.

This was left to one of my Aunt's who didn't quite prepare for the future, so I bought it off her. Unfortunately, my uncle shot it and didn't clean it for several years, so it isn't in the best shape, but it shoots damn good. My guns can be sold, but only the ones I have bought, none that have been passed to me.

Here is a really bad picture that makes it look worse than it really is.

I would never sell my S&W 686, 6" barrel, un-fluted cylinder with the S&W badged wood grip.  I bought it as my first handgun when I turned 21 back in 1989. It could knock a fly off a bulls ass at 30 yards.  And the ammo is SO simple to reload.
I might also have a hard time going with out my S&W E-Series 1911-TA. That is a FINE shooting gun also,

First, I don't sell handguns.

But the one I can't be without is my XDm compact 9mm. It's flawless.

I haven't found it yet. I've bought 11 handguns and sold 10. I will sell the g34 I have right now at some point down the road.

The one I miss most is an early gen 4 g17. Luckily, it was a glock, so I can just buy another, set it up the same way, and it will be much the same as the previous one.

Fun to shoot and incredibly accurate, these are box stock save for grips. They need nothing else.

Through the years it has gotten better and uglier. It currently has few original parts and is worthless monetarily but is the most valuable to me.

...and this:

This CZ was purchased inexpensively enough and is good enough I consider it irreplaceable.

One is the Ruger Mark II I've had since I was a kid. It's kinda like my Daisy BB gun--I've fired so many rounds through it I don't really aim it anymore, just perceive where the round will hit. The other is the Ruger SRH that my wife bought me for my birthday 7 days before she died. That one gets buried with me.

My MKII has seen enough rounds it's supposedly the only known case of a broken Majestic Speed Strip kit. It's the kids favorite gun to shoot so he's gonna need his own eventually.

I bought a 2nd gen G 19 in 1994 and hated it the first day and hate it now, but its probably the best auto pistol I've ever owned. Its the one.

I'd have to say my G30 that I bought way back. Wasn't my first handgun, but I love the versatility and reliability. Just refreshed the night sights and Cerakoted the slide. It would be the last. Second to last would be my 340PD.

Colt Lightweight Gov't.

It's the one that always gets carried because it's slim, light, reliable, and shoots great.

1,000 plus rounds in my 40c and not one hick up! Great choice.

If I had to pick just one, Walther PPQ M2 5" with Dawson sights.

Not really an easy question to answer.  It is theoretical for me.  I have to make assumptions, one being that the handgun is a tool for self-defense?  In this case it would either be my custom Springer 1911 or my Sig P220 SAS.  Both are all metal and both are stupid accurate with great triggers and both are 45 ACP.

I was surprised to see so many plastic guns nominated.  I have my share, but they seem impermanent to me.  I would probably go with my 5906.  Bought it new, first handgun, and it is a great shooter.  And it's steel!
