Nice. Which do you like the most? CZ custom has the cz75 shadow sao in stock right now and I think I want to order it.

I'm a fan of constant trigger pull myself.

Carry and shoot a TRP or Glock. With that said, I picked up a P226 this week, but since it will be a range gun I'll never mess with the DA . Installed the SRT in the Sig and its slick.

The CZ-75 is double / single action.

I'm a big fan of the 1911 side of single action land.

I love my Glock as my go to guns but I have a soft spot for Beretta 92/96s and Smith & Wesson 3rd gens.

If you could only have one between the p220 and the 1911, which would you keep?

As of right now, the P220 Super Match; but the 1911 Super Target is brand new to me and I don't shoot it to anywhere close to its potential, although its fit and finish compares very favorably to the German Mastershop  X-Fives which are far more expensive.

The P220 Super Match has delivered exceptional accuracy and reliability but isn't as refined.

It's hard to compare the two pistols one against the other.

ETA: the 1911 Super Target has 450 rounds through it since I bought it last month and the P220 Super Match is closing in on 20,000.

I like SAO autos.  I wish there were more good ones out there.  I applaud SIG for releasing SAO variants of the P226 and P220.

I like my 1911s. I had a FNX-45 Tactical before and the single action felt long.

Yea it's really cool that they do that. I wish more people did metal single actions. But nowadays they are best suited for range and competition stuff. I wouldn't carry one. I like DA/SA's with decockers for carry or plastic striker fired.

I've owned 1911s, HKP7, BHPs, Coonan Model B's, Radom Vis35, Mauser 1896 and I'm sure I forgot some.  Still want to get a SIG 210 one of these days.

Isn't the P7 not considered single action since it's striker fired ?

It is striker but it is also single action trigger due to the grip being the cocker.

The CZ75 .40 is a SA/DA pistol. (and also my primary CCW). You CAN carry it cocked-n-locked but its not a DAO, like the 1911 and the 1935 in the pic.

I installed a SA only trigger from CZ in mine.

I started carrying my 1911 in 1978 when I bought it.  Then a Combat Commander.  Then a Series 80 stainless Colt.

I bought a Browning BDM.  Just never could really like it.  Safety works the wrong way.  Its a decocker/DA/SA.

I bought a Glock.  Accuracy just wasn't there, let alone the feel of it.

I bought an XDM.  Better accuracy, better feel in my hand but still just couldn't "love" it.

I bought an M&P.  Okay accuracy, better feel in my hand, thumb safeties.  Really like it but got into reliability issues on both guns (twice on one gun) and put them down.

I bought a CZ P07.  Yeah, DA/SA but I removed the decockers, put the safeties on and now I have a pistol that feels good, is carried cocked and locked and shoots rings around the Glock/XDM/M&P guns.  Good enough that I went out and bought a P09 and its just as good as the P07 accuracy and reliability wise.

Folks need to try out some CZ's, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Yes indeed.

For recreational shooting:    Full size 1911s in .45, and Browning HP in 9mm.

For protection in the big city:   Kimber Ultra Carry in 9mm..

When the fight starts, if I have only a handgun, I want it to be one of those.

I like my Colt Defender. I've tried Glock, but unless it's the only defense weapon at hand I really don't like the DA trigger. I immensely prefer the SA trigger with the thumb safety. I carry whenever I'm awake. Except the crime plus gun free zones. God forbid I become a criminal for carrying in someone's arbitrarily selected area. Because of certain constraints (not supposed to carry at work, but it's not a GFZ, so don't tell don't ask), I wanted to find something smaller in the same SA thumb safety format. Decided on the Sig P938. Works great, shoots strait, and weighs only 16 ounces without the 7 round extended mag. Santa found one highly coveted 7 round mags at Cabela's for me. So now I'm up to 14 rounds. Good to go.

2014 was a busy and fun year for me.

I bought a P938. My first single action ever.

Then my son got me hooked on the 1911after the first range trip with the one the wife and I bought him for both his Christmas and birthday present combined. It is a Sig 1911 Carry Nightmare.I enjoyed that range trip so much, I went and bought , (the same day) a 1911 Ultra Carry.

This pistol is phenomenal. I've had it less than a month and I've put 300 rounds through it. I have also tweaked my shooting style to these single actions which are light for the caliber they push.

i now have it down where I am proficient with them and now understand why people love them.

I'm having a blast!

*ETA I just posted a range report on my 1911 Ultra Nitron in the Sig Forum if anyone is interested. And while we're here.......let's play......"Find the SA pistols"
