Gun store by my work has a used p30 with tru dot night sites and 2 mags for 580.00 otd it has the weird decocker on the back. It's in 9mm, just figured I ask since hk has the 200.00 rebate on new guns.

Not bad considering night sites already.  If you like it I would go for it.  I buy lots of used treasures all the time and I actually prefer to buy used as I save lots of money on most times something someone did not like and barely shot.

Word. Let the first guy take the hit and profit off of it.

I did a recent thread of whether or not I should get the P30 Long or a 226 Mk 25. Even the HK people said to go with the Sig, which I did.

But that P30 at that price is one heck of a deal, provided you gave it a good look first, and nothing set off any alarms.

I'd use that cash on buying a brand new VP9.

Heck, I like the HK but a G26 is on my want list. I would have snatched it up for $360.00 too.

That is a great deal on a great pistol. I miss my USP and would love to get a P30 for that price.

Only own HK P7 PSP's personally and they are very special to me.  Still trying to find an M8 and M13 that does not break the bank.

No. If you are specifically in the market for the P30, they can be had recently for $750 new before the rebate. But really, get the VP9. Better gun in every way.

P7 is a different story.  Those are pretty sweet.

Bud's has a P30 V1 with the LEM for $838 and you can make an offer.  HK is giving a $200 rebate on new P30 purchases right now.  Depending on what offer Bud's accepts, you can really close the gap between the $580 used price and a $638 (or less) new price in the version you want.  In that case, I don't see the $580 offer as a deal.

http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/21_47/products_id/69853/H%26K+M730901-A5+P30+LEM+15%2B1+9mm+3.86%22+V1

Take the rebate off the table and the $580 price becomes a deal again.  Until then, no deal if it were me.

I'd buy it for that, and I have a VP9. I want both and that's a real nice price. The VP9 would probably be my preference if I could only have one. Nice snag on the G26

I have both and I've thought about trading the P30 for a second VP9.

Ultimately, they are both very similar though, and other than the trigger and size difference I think they are very close to each other.  I probably won't get rid of the P30, and use it as a winter carry or something.  The VP9 has already dislodged the P30 from nightstand duty.
