I actually do recommend people who have some sort of physical impairment look at the 5.7 pistol. If I had to hand my grandmother a semi-auto, it would be that pistol. It's not ideal from a terminal ballistics perspective, but it beats the fuck out of fingernails. It's all about the niche. The cartridge fits a niche, which is why it's used by some agencies. The pistol can fit a niche for the defense-minded person who can't take recoil from most centerfire handguns. |
