I want a RDS setup on my M&P something bad. Too bad S&W won't sell the CORE slide on their own.

I had two of them, and both were fucked. 1st one - auto adjust didn't work. 2nd one- auto shut-off didn't work. Burris told me to just use the "off" button. Seriously? If it doesn't fucking work, at least offer to let me send it in. I use Trijicon RMR's and nothing else. The Dual-Illuminated version (which I prefer) is only $100 more than the FastFire 3. It's a Browning Buckmark Contour Lite 5.5, with a Bushnell TRS-25 sight on top. It's called "lite" because the barrel is aluminum with a steel sleeve. When I first got it, it had terrible troubles with feeding (jammed every single round), but I did some work where the feed ramp meets the chamber, and it now runs 100%. The gun balances very well, and is VERY accurate. As much as I like handguns, I'm not worth a crap with 'em, but even I can nail a 6x6-inch plate at 25 yds with it any time I want, and that's rapid fire offhand, too. almost forgot: Out of the box, the trigger was "ok" but nothing really special. Doing the sear spring flip made a big difference in being able to nail that steel plate. |

I want a rmr on a M&P bad. Only problem is I would imagine it would suck to CCW with one.
Anyone have experience with that? |

I'm very pleased with my G17 rmr with suppressor sights |

airborne_infantryman i think you are the undisputed champ. So much awesomeness in your safe.

I'm really thinking of picking one up (or an OKO) and putting it on my 41 along with a new "bully" barrel. I know they don't get a lot of respect from the "tactical" crowd, but they can't be all bad if they dominate the comp crowd. |

Who's gonna be the first to get one of the new ALG mounts?

What is the cheapest quality pistol in 9mm, .40 or .45 ready to mount a RMR? A M&P Core?
What would you guys recommend for a first red dot pistol? |
|
A.I.,
How well does the RMR fit onto the slot of the CORE? Is it pretty snug, are there are gaps around the RMR? I am just curious since they milled the slide for a number of different RDS optics. If you had any close up pics of the interface, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, |

If by "ready to mount" you mean something that comes from the factory with iron sights that co-witness with the RMR, I'm only aware of the M&P CORE and the FN FNX Tactical. I think the M&P CORE is cheaper, but I don't know at current prices. (You can also order a Lone Wolf Glock clone with this setup, if that counts, but it will probably cost more.) I put a dot on a Desert Eagle and then a revolver for hunting. Then added one on a 22 for practice. It depends on whether or not you need the sights as a training aid. (Some people find that having the sights there make it easier to train the body to bring the gun up where you can see the red dot properly.) |
