I am more accurate with the DA as well, I think I jerk the SA pull every now and then. FYI that is on a 92.

It's all about what you get used to. The DA pull means you have to explicitly concentrate on holding sight alignment as you manipulate the trigger.
I can work with DA / SA just fine, but DAO is nothing I want to be forced to use, especially with a heavy pull and long reset. |

I'm just as accurate with the DA as the SA. I also discovered after trying to work only with Glocks for a year (since I can get them free), that I am still faster and more accurate with DA/SA SIGs than I am with striker fired pistols. No Glocks for me.
I have found that if you think about the DA pull, it will screw you up. Now, I can't tell the difference between the first pull and the last under a timer. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I can't hit crap with a DA pull, gave up and went back to carrying a 1911.

SA. I have always been more accurate with my 1911's. Plus i believe the way they feel in my hand has a lot to do with it.

I'm typically more consistent with SA but on a good day you can't tell the difference between the two at all.

The handgun that shot the most accurate for me was a well used beretta 96D, DAO. I bought two for just under $300 each years ago, gave one to my brother and shot the piss out of the other. I could shoot that thing faster and more accurate than any other handgun I have ever tried. Trigger pull was about 10lbs I would guesstimate, but so smooth, great reset, no stacking, very consistant. I was forced to sell it to make a payment to my divorce lawyer, if I could have one gun back I had to get rid of it would be that one. It only held 11 rounds in the mag, was kind of big for the caliber, but a great handgun.

Usually SA
However after a little warm up time at the range and I stop seeing any difference between the two |

Either, I guess.
I shot a friend's 92FS Inox a few weeks back and after getting tired of SA shots, I switched to DA and was quite surprised that accuracy didn't change all that much if at all. |

No noticeable difference for me. S&W 910 and S&W 908.
The double action feels more accurate, but on paper it isn't. |

I can shoot DAO S&W revolvers the best of all 640 642 M13 M&P DAO I do okay with my S&W6906 and a better with my Gen 1 Sig P229 I admitt Im better with the SA trigger with those 2 pistols and faster. |

I pull the DA shot low and do better with the SA. It depends a lot on the gun though. S&W 3914 has a very nice short reset and crisp SA pull after you get through the forever long pull in DA.
For rapid fire, SAO is much more accurate for me (it is also a bigger gun though). I need to practice my DA more, both with revolvers and auto, but given sufficient practice time with both I really can't understand how anyone wouldn't end up doing better with a really nice SAO. |
