The grip felt good in my hand which is another plus since their isn't changeable backstraps. The last area of concern was the sights since the rear isn't changeable. I really like the Heinie Straight 8 sights, so I figured that I would like the ones on the Caracal. They are OK; I can live with them. I think that the rear dot is too large, the sights are too low, and the rear notch is too narrow. I can always widen the notch with a file and posibly fill in the dot with paint if it proves to be a problem. Definitely not a deal breaker though. Overall, I was very impressed with the pistol. I didn't have the cash to swing the deal yesterday, but there is another show in a few weeks that the same vendor will be at. I'll be picking one up then. How much if you don't mind me asking? Have been told a guy is selling them at a local gun show for $417. Just listed an HK P2000 V1 on a few local gun boards. Hoping to move it and have enough to get a Caracal C and finish getting my S&W Shield out of layaway at the LGS. |

We are selling the C with standard sights for $440 and the Quick sight models for $455, that's in a gun store with overhead so maybe cheaper at gun shows.

I prefer to buy from a store if I can find one locally that has one. It's worth a little more to avoid gun shows in my opinion. Besides having to pay to get in, then you have to wade through all the crap to find anything worth looking at. |

Gun show price was $450. I can order for $399, but after shipping and transfer it would be $450 anyways. I'll pay taxes locally, but I'm willing to pay a little more to support the local guys as long as their price is reasonable.

No hate mail please, just stating the facts from 21 continuous years of Glocks. The gunshop just got in a shipment with a variety of Caracals, F models and C plus both types of sights. The winner hands down was the C model with the QuickSights. The QS irons look like they don't make sense but don't knock until you try them. I did the paperwork and took home the C model w/QS irons. I'm very impressed. Will post a shooting report with photos comparing it to the XD SC and Glock 23 soon. Price was $445 FWIW. |

i'm ordering a compact model with standard sights in a couple of days or so,with two extra mags of course. i've wanted one of these since i heard about them. i'm almost as excited as i was to get my PPQ. this pistol looks promising and between it being designed by bubits and the testing its been through i'm very confident it will be a fine weapon for carry.

I like the steel rails in the chassis.
I also like the price. The C model would appear to be like the Glock 19, minus the finger grooves. I hope this gun succeeds, because next year I may just be in the market for one. In fact, by then, maybe they'll even come out with the SC model. Curiouser and curiouser. |

When I hit the 500 round mark I'll write up a full review; so far so good though. |

Haters will always hate, we just move on without them. Bet he has a Glock on his side now. They seem to be the only people that hate everything else. I prefer HKs and Sigs. But I don't put another gun down because it doesn't say either of those things on the slide. I will try about anything once. |

I've always considered myself a Glock guy, having owned 30+ over the years and seven last year at one time. I've downsized to 2 Glock's, and diversified with 3 M&P's, 2 Caracal's and a couple of FN's. A couple of guys I work with have bought Caracal C's lately and love them so much they will be reducing their Glock inventories. |

LGS has four ordered. 2 F, 2 C. A quick sight and regular sight for each model. Didn't know when he would get them. Going to wait till the middle of next week and check back with him. |

In before Springfield buys the import rights, re-names it Xtreme-something and raises the price $200.

Not Springfield, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Kimber or Freedom Group (to be branded as a ParaOrd gun). I really doubt the owners of Caracal would at all be interested in an arrangement like happened with the HS2000. They originally wanted to price the guns in the $550-600 range, not where they are currently at. That said Kimber has enough problems getting their own guns to market and putting ParaOrd on the gun will kill sales. ![]() |
