My son sheared the lug on the barrel of an FEG HP clone. Any ideas as to where he can buy another barrel ?
Thanks, Dennis

Depends on what model it is. If its a PJK, it should use the same barrel as the FN/Browning HPs, so go to the Browning website. If not, try Numrich gun parts online. If not, then get on the 1911 Forum in the Browning Hi-Power section and post the question there. A lot of knowledgeable HP folks there.

I had this happen to a high round count MKIII. I initially had the lug TIG welded back on by a machine shop. It worked until I could source a new barrel. Luckily I was able to find one on Ebay for $150. The guy had five of them that were new takeoffs and he had already sold four when I found the auction which was buy it now. I snatched it up in a hurry and do not regret it one bit.

The other alternative is contact Bar-Sto and get on the list for a newly manufactured barrel. New ones from Browning are in the $400 range.
