I have a 1985 Mark II BHP.  I also have a factory BHP barrel out of a 2004 Mark III, which I was hanging onto for a spare.  Can I expect the 2004 barrel to drop into my Mark II if I ever need to replace it?  If fitting is required, what typically needs to be worked on?

The differences that I have noticed in older barrels versus newer ones is a redesign of the recoil spring area. Not saying they wont interchange though.

The Mk2 and Mk3 use the same barrel design. It will fit as is or need minor fitting.

I have a MkIII barrel in my '69 HP. Works just fine.
