C&S will not buy/sell the browning part (I agree with them and the reason is the whole MIM process of making parts, which is why mine broke, at first glance it looks like cast or powder metal....) they are hoping to come out with a "billet" one late fall/early winter, kinda what I was going to make myself

I tried Brownings web site before, and even with your link (thank you! by the way) I still feel like an interweb newbie idiot when I couldnt find hi-power parts

So I am planning to refinish this in next 2 weeks ( i know purist stand back, this has been my carry gun since I bought it new in 91, so screw resale) I will be dead when it's sold

So I may have to hold off and make a few out of 4150 and not worry ever again, by the way this is the 2nd one that has broke on my pistol, functions fine still just can not use it as carry, if any more breaks off, the firing pin will come out and ...well atleast it will jam spectaculary

here is a picture:

Thank you
Altho I prefer to not replace it with a "cheap" cast part again, notice the marks?

This is what is broken now, original was "lost" years ago, and replaced by a "non factory" part

Thank you!!

I will report back in this thread on this part, it looks Billet, due to endmill radius's etc (and it's sitting on a granite QC table...or someones kitchen counter) , and it is also flat bottom (no radius)

to everyone that has helped me, in one way or the other....CHEERS
