THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT With the .380, I see many many reports of failures and guns just not running right. Seems almost 50/50 love hate. What gives here? Is this just the result of stuffing too much cartridge into too small of a frame? I get that the .380 is marginally better than the .32 and that one would seek to get the most from whatever platform they carry, but is the move to larger worth it? I have a P32 that has been flawless, accurate and reliable. I can with care make accurate 20 yard shots with it, and solid rapid hits with it at 15 and closer. Is there any particular reason to make a change? |

Probably no reason to make the change, the 380 is only marginally better although a .38 hole is better than a .32 hole. As far as issues mine has been perfect, I only had a a few FTE on the first and second mags when I first bought it. I believe this was probably caused by limp wristing it, which with such a powerful round, and small frame is somewhat easy to do. I believe this is where a lot of the problems arise, it is an operator issue not a gun issue, but it is much easier to blame the handgun.
