Not to add insult to injury for the empty handed, but Keltec is now selling drop-in 5 inch barrels with an integrated flash hider. Barrel is flutted. Pretty darn sweet. Mine's inbound. Check their website.
As an add-on to my post, I noticed PMR parts and accessories (mags, barrels x2, plastic stuff, springs, etc) are available, but complete guns are not. edited: The barrel is threaded and includes an aluminum flash hider and some blue loctite. Straight flutes. |

Got one a while back, fun shooter but expect one or two failures to feed per 100 rounds.

Been wanting one of these myself. Question for anyone that has one, how loud is it? I would imagine the 22 Mag in that short barrel would have a very loud piercing sound?

Having no previous experience with 22WMR, it was quite a bit louder than I anticipated. The impression was somewhat unusual, as the recoil didn't seem to match the sound...if that makes sense. It quickly became the center of attention at the range, where everyone but me happened to be shooting 22LR. I wouldn't call it a piercing sound, but I was wearing ear-pro. |

She's got some snap thats for sure. Wouldn't go more than a few rounds w/o hearing protection, not if you give a shit about hearing when you're 60. |

I wish I could find one! I've been looking for what seems like forever. Kel-Tec leaves way to much money on the table, if they kept up with demand they would be loaded. Instead it seems like whoever is lucky enough to find one turns a good profit. If anyone has information on one for sale let me know please. Thanks.

Hrm, maybe I shouldn't fire the one I have, and list it on GunBroker?
It's a cool little gun (little being relative) and I like it, but I'm just not sure what use it really has, except for targets, camping, and hunting. It seems like it's built as a race pistol. |

I have seen 2 for sale, one at a gun show for $550, and one at a store for $450 if I remember correctly. Those gun broker prices are absurd. The truth about guns had a funny little post on Keltecs tough availability The Truth about Keltech by the truth about guns
