13 rounds of 9mm +P, but I hate the trigger. I still carry it any way.

Thanks Stoney ,
I dry fired one and I expected the trigger pull to be stiff , but what surprised me is it did not break until the trigger was almost all the way back to the frame ??? Is yours the same ? |

The trigger is horrible, but it is a better micro-9 than the PF-9 IMO. The P11 is ugly and crude, but it holds 13 rounds and is only marginally bigger than a PF-9. The trigger mechanism is also much simpler, so there is less that can go wrong. Another advantage is that it takes S&W 59 mags, so you can have even more rounds available.
If you're willing to do a little gunsmithing, it is possible to make the trigger significantly less horrible (it will never be good, however). |

Well I for one want a P11 at ranges I would use it , I'm sure I could hit what I need too ....plenty a firepower
Big bonus is I don't need a new caliber to inventory ( I don't have any 380 ACP or 32 ACP guns ) I went to kel tec owners group web page , and people seem pretty happy about their little guns ![]() |

I have a P11. 100% reliable after polishing the slide, rails and feed ramp. I was somewhat accustom to pulling thru the long trigger from shooting revolvers for years. Not that bad once you find where the trigger brake is. Easy to put 10 shots on a 9" pie plate at 15-yards. Pocket carries well enough. My EDC is a G36.

I like it. Small, 11 shots, 9mm. Concealable, most are really not. I'm half Scotch, they are cheap, even cheaper when used.
reasonably accurate. Trigger is poor, but you can get used to it. think of the P11's purpose in life. Mine runs like a champ. For what it was designed to do, it works very, very well. buy it! bill boy PS: about 300 rounds thru it, not one jam, even with lead heads! Paid $180 used |

I have both the PF-9 and the P-11. They are both great for their intended purpose, but I do prefer the PF-9. It is much lighter and slimmer, which makes a difference for IWB carry. The difference in capacity is a non-issue for me, as I do not intend to go to war with either, that's not what they're for. The P-11 does feel much nicer in the hand, but the trigger is so much worse than the PF. Neither is comfortable to shoot. The PF-9's skinny grip can cause blisters, but with the P-11 the bottom of my trigger finger always seems to get pinched between the trigger and the guard, due to the long pull. It's really a 6-of-one/ half-dozen-of-the-other situation. I carry all-day-every-day and only get to the range about once a month, which is why I default to the PF.
I bought the P-11 used, and the slide had some rust issues with light pitting, so I spent a weekend sanding and polishing, then finished with some Oxpho-blue:
Here's a pic of the PF-9 next to a XD45 compact and a S&W .38. The chrome slide is another reason it's my primary carry. Three sweaty summers in Cen FL (I work outside) and no trace of rust. ![]() |

I'm sure if you're patient you can find them for under $200, even at gun shows. ETA: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=274761858 |

I used to own a P11 and mine was totally reliable but had a horribly long trigger pull so I never shot it well. Now I have a PF9 and the trigger on it is miles better than the P11. It is also lighter and easier to carry concealed. Granted the round count is down but that is easily corrected with a spare mag in the opposite pocket. I know some folks have had bad luck with their PF9 reliability wise but mine has been great. Only two failure to feeds in the first 100 rounds and perfect since then. Mine is also pretty accurate for a small gun.
I think 3 1/2 inches offhand at 7 yards is plenty good accuracy. My wife's groups run just over 5" at same distance and she also really likes the PF9 |

So I picked up a used p11 with 2 mags for $210 yesterday. Was skeptical walking around the show trying to decide on what to get but 210 was hard to pass up.
Ive ran probly 150 assorted rounds, including the aluminum blazers, through it today and absolutely no problems and accuracy is far better than I expected. Aiming at a clay pigeon at 100yds, was hitting in a 5 foot radius around the pigeon. but also first day with gun. The trigger is long but isnt really all that bad, considering. It does take getting used to. The rear sight was the only problem. It is plastic and has no way of being held into position so Im going to check out different options for upgrade. Definitely going to get the 15rd mag with grip extension, belt clip, and steel guide rod. And rear sight. Now I just have to figure out how Im going to customize the ugly little bastard ![]() |

I love my P11. I shoot cast through it exclusively, it's been 100% reliable. I bought it new when they first came out. It carries like a dream with the clip. It's accurate too.

My P11 is my "lazy carry" gun.
It conceals easily in a generic leather holster and is light enough to forget it's there. You really don't have to dress around it, either. 12+1 capacity is another bonus. Mine has been 100% reliable and accurate enough for carry purposes, provided I do my part. The trigger is long and takes some practice to get used to. I have not done the fluff and buff, but I might try it soon. |

If you are interested you can convert your P11 to .40 S&W. See my post in the EE under "Handgun Mags, Parts, & Accessories" for a conversion kit & mags, etc.

I have read that about using one in the 9MM. The .40 conversion kit came with a metal one and as far as I know plastic guide rods were not offered for the 40. |

That long "horrible" trigger pull is the safety. It keeps idiots from shooting themselves and the company from being sued.
That being said, I have carried a p11 for the last 5 years. The trigger is long but smooth. 100% reliable up to this point makes it my EDC. I bought a Glock 19 to replace it, but the size keeps me going back to the p11. |

Picked one up yesterday. My normal EDC is a 1911, but I got this as a "gun to carry when I can't carry a gun". Put about 100 rnds of 115 and 147gr FMJ through it today with no hiccups. About 5" groups at 10yds. Minute of bad guy is good enough for me.

I have a P11, and it's not a bad little 9mm, especially for a CCW.
Most of the reviews I read said that it was accurate, but not very fun to shoot. I'm new to handguns, but it was more fun to shoot than my S&W Airweight, and way more accurate. The slide was a little stiff and I'm left handed, which is why I bought a Kimber, but a couple of my friends who are knowledgeable about guns and collect guns, want to buy it as a CCW. I would feel a lot more comfortable at 25 feet with my Kel-tec over the Airweight, that's for sure. At 25-feet with my Airweight I would lose to a can of bear spray. |

We broke the ejector after shooting about 200 +P+ loads through the thing as a bit of a "torture test."
I called Kel-Tec about getting the replacement and they just said "what's your address?" and shipped one out gratis. Kel-Tec confirmed for bro-tier. |

The P11 is still the smallest and lightest doublestack 9mm on the market. If only it had a better trigger (and maybe were less ugly), I think it would easily become one of the best choices for a CCW.
