Anyone know of somewhere that has the SAO available online?
|

Oakhill had a few a few weeks back, they will be back in a few months

Buy a CZ 75 B (not a BD with decocker) and convert it to SAO it is a trigger change to do it or send it to CGW.
|
|
Doesn't the SAO come with a little larger beavertail and different sights as well?

I just put a SAO trigger in my 75B
That fish hook curve on the trigger it came with was very uncomfortable to me. Easy to switch out and feels much better now. |

Yes there are frame/slide changes, which can make finding holsters a drag. When I do this I'm going to get another SP01 and convert it. View Quote |

Anyone make holsters for this thing? Perhaps the "Shadow" holsters will work?

Local range had one in stock last time I was there.
Ted's Gun Range in Queen Creek, AZ. Really dislike the ambi safety on the 75-SA, the starboard side lever pinches my hand. I do like the larger 1911ish safety though. Anyone make a single sided 75SA style safety for one of these? |

I just bought one yesterday, Gunsdirect in Burbank CA had one left when I left the store yesterday.
They are both 9mm CA models with 10 round mags. I think I've found MY pistol, after years of looking for one that speaks to me and feels just right, there is a potential, I'll know more in 10 days, lol. For sure the plastic grips suck, most likely a nice set of wood will replace them. But it's got a retro flare with modern influences, and quick to point etc, looks good. Being a lefty, the ambi safety is nice and yes the beaver tail is more pronounced than a regular B, and upswept vs down. I look at the SA as a more discreet half price TS, and possibly (for my hand) better than the hi power. Very excited, hope you find one! I think they are a great value. **edit, saw you scored a 10mm short, congrats!! |

I went with thin aluminum and grit tape. Made for a thinner grip.

I got my first 75 SAO ten years ago in 2007. It almost immediately became and continues to be my favorite pistol by far. I've actually sold off some other brands of pistols and now have three 75 SAOs. View Quote |

Nice!! What has been your experience in parts needs, tips and mods? Thx View Quote It's been pretty much flawless. I switched out the grips maybe five years ago or so for the thin aluminum grips with grip tape on them. Up until a year ago when I replaced the sights the pistol was completely stock and I was quite happy with it that way. It probably has less than 5k rounds through the 9mm top end, maybe more, I'm just guessing. I use a Kadet on it a lot. The past couple years I bet I haven't put 100 rounds of 9mm through it. But the pistol has fired many, many tens of thousands of rimfire rounds. Never needed any spare parts for the pistol. Slide stop is the supposed to be the weak link; if I ever do have one break I'll just pull a spare from another gun. |

I have some CZ rubber grips if you want to go that direction.
The SAO should fit in any holster specified for the 75 40 cal. (I think) |

I found a holster pretty easily for my mother in law when she got her first pistol, the 75BSA. Black Arch Holsters make a pretty nice leather/kydex hybrid specifically for the 75-B-SA. I liked the holster so much I got one from Black Arch for my 97B; very comfortable, good retainment, great pistol to holster fit as well and durable! It was her 75-B-SA that turned me on to CZ's in the first place!
