New to me..

link

Anyone own one? Looking at the picture, it still looks like the thicker alloy frame from the P01. Looks like a variation of P02.

Anyone?

Yup, been nicknaming them the "Compact SP-01" over at the CZ forum.
I've got one on order (mrgundealer had em at $521) and will post pics once it shows up.

I noticed it pop up at Bud's literally the day after I ordered a standard compact from them.  I would have ordered the railed model instead (assuming it's a single sided safety) just for the more upswept beaver tail.

Is this the one that had a run of 500?

I'm also interested, as I'm a lefty and from what I understand the SP-01s are lefty friendly.

They did back in 2013, probably hard to find today though.

Tombstone Tactical's website says they have 416 of them.  If true, then CZ made more than 500 probably

Word.

This little guy weighs over 2 lbs.  I'd jump on an aluminum version real quick.  My aluminum PCR compact is a nice carry at about 1.5 lbs.

That would be a Sphinx SDP Al frame and polymer grip.  I wanted a Sphinx for so long but then I looked at the aftermarket support sucked I got CZ's.  But basically you guys want a CZ that weighs the same as a Sig.  I could get down with that.

Did some looking and found them at distribution, got 10 for my shop, 5 manuals and 5 decockers.  Seems to be some dispute on whether the decocker is steel or aluminum framed, but either way I'm sure they'll go quick.  My smith had done a lot of CGW installs lately, he gonna have a heart attack when he sees what I brung him.

Shit   Put a cajun trigger kit in it and run it in CCP for IDPA.  I bet it would be a real competitive pistol due to the weight which would help on followup shots.

Decocker weighs ~5oz less, so the frame has to be aluminum like the PCR.

Seems to be a theme... safety models are steel frame, and decockers are aluminum.  I wonder if the difference in the internals drive the designed material.  Like hole-edge distance in an area, or similar.

Anyone have one of these yet?

I'd like to know what trigger group they're using in this.

Seems pretty much same as SP01. Some guys on cz forum reported the trigger being heavy, gritty, and not great out of the box, but smoothen out over time, which is standard for CZ DA pistols.

The decocker model is a P01 without the NSN and P01 stamping.

The steel gun is a hefty little bastard.

I got them in today and sold 3 of them already.

Looked it up. Weighs about 5oz more than the PCR.

I didn't see an Omega symbol stamped anywhere on the slide but wanted to confirm it was the standard CZ trigger group before ordering one.

Correct, no Omega, standard CZ trigger.

Anyone have a follow up on these?

How do they handle, carry and shoot vs a SP01?

I'm hoping I've got funds for the one left we have in the store.  I shot one today and it was simply lovely.  Size of a P01, and almost no recoil, as to be expected.  I'm planning on ditching the Rami safety though.
